Brief Information: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) – ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru has officially published a recruitment advertisement notification No. ISTRAC:02:2026. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for the positions of Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant, Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, and Cook-A. These positions are temporary but likely to continue across various ISRO centers and units in India.

Application Fee & Refund Rules
- Technical / Scientific Assistant: Non-Refundable fee is Rs. 250/-. Initially all candidates have to pay Rs. 750/- as Processing Fee.
- Technician-B / Draughtsman-B / Cook-A: Non-Refundable fee is Rs. 100/-. Initially all candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- as Processing Fee.
- Fee Refund Rule: The processing fee will be refunded only to those candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT.
- Full Refund Category: Female, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates will get a full refund of their processing fee after exam appearance.
- Partial Refund Category: General, EWS, and OBC candidates will get back Rs. 500/- (for Assistant posts) and Rs. 400/- (for Technician/Cook posts) after deducting application charges.
- Mode of Payment: Pay the processing fee online through Bharatkosh via Net Banking, Debit Card, or UPI.

- Minimum Age Requirement: 18 Years
- Maximum Age Boundary: 35 Years
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates is applicable where posts are reserved.
- Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant Salary: Level 7 Pay Matrix (Approx. Rs. 44,900/- per month + Allowances)
- Technician-B / Draughtsman-B Salary: Level 3 Pay Matrix (Approx. Rs. 21,700/- per month + Allowances)
- Cook-A Salary: Level 2 Pay Matrix (Approx. Rs. 19,900/- per month + Allowances)

Yes, the written examination pattern features a negative marking clause where for every wrong objective attempt, a 0.33 mark penalty will be deducted from the candidate’s total score.

Unreserved candidates must score at least 32 out of 80 marks in the written test and 50 out of 100 marks in the skill test. For reserved categories, the cutoff parameter is relaxed to 24 marks in the written test and 40 marks in the skill test.
Q4. Can students whose final results are still awaited submit their online application?
No, only candidates who have already successfully passed out their mandatory educational examinations before the registration closing deadline are eligible to apply. Students awaiting their final results should not fill the form.
