Application Fees & CBT-1 Refund Rules
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 500/- (An amount of Rs. 400/- will be refunded after appearing in 1st Stage CBT, minus bank charges).
- SC / ST / ExSM / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC Candidates: Rs. 250/- (Full fee of Rs. 250/- will be refunded after appearing in 1st Stage CBT, minus bank charges).

Complete Selection Process & CBT Examination Scheme
The recruitment process comprises: (1) 1st Stage CBT, (2) 2nd Stage CBT, (3) Document Verification (DV), and (4) Medical Examination (ME). Negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies for every wrong answer in both CBT-1 and CBT-2.

- Create an Account: Visit the official RRB application portal at
rrbapply.gov.in. If you already created an account in earlier CENs, log in with those credentials. - Single RRB Rule: Choose only ONE RRB and indicate your priority order of Railway Zones and post categories. Multiple applications to different RRBs or the same RRB will lead to summary rejection.
- Live Photo Capturing: You are not required to upload a pre-existing photograph. The portal module captures a live photograph via webcam or front camera. Wear dark-coloured clothing for contrast, avoid caps/spectacles/masks, and ensure eye-level camera alignment.
- Signature Upload: Upload scanned signature in black ink on white paper in running handwriting (JPG/JPEG format, 30 KB to 49 KB, min 100 DPI). Block or capital letter signatures are invalid.
- SC/ST Travel Pass: Candidates requesting free travel pass must upload their SC/ST certificate in PDF format (less than 400 KB).
