Brief Information: Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released an official recruitment notification Advt No. 08/2026 for the post of Gulm Samadeshak (Company Commander) in Bihar Home Guards Service Cadre under the Home Department (Special Branch), Government of Bihar. Physical Standards Requirement
- Height:
- General / BC Male: Minimum 165 cm
- EBC / SC / ST Male: Minimum 160 cm
- All Category Female: Minimum 155 cm
- Chest (Male Only):
- General / BC / EBC: 81-86 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion required)
- SC / ST: 79-84 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion required)
- Weight: Minimum 48 kg required for all female candidates.
Selection Process Outline
- Preliminary Exam: 200 marks objective test (100 questions, 2 hours duration) covering General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Min 30% marks needed to pass.
- Main Exam: Consists of two papers. Paper-1 is General Hindi (200 marks, qualifying nature) and Paper-2 is General Studies, Science, Geography, Math, and Reasoning (200 marks).
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in both exam phases.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes a 1.6 km run for men (within 6 mins 30 secs), 1 km run for women (within 6 mins), High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put. Qualifying in nature.
