Application Fees & Correction Charges

  • Correction Charges (Window): Rs. 200/- for the 1st correction; Rs. 500/- for the 2nd correction (applicable to all candidates irrespective of category/gender).

Age Limit Criteria (As on 01/08/2026)

  • Minimum Prescribed Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Prescribed Age: 27 Years (Candidate must be born not before 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2008).

Upper Age Relaxation Permissible:

  • SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years
  • OBC Candidates: 3 Years
  • PwBD (Unreserved): 10 Years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
  • PwBD (SC / ST): 15 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 Years after deduction of military service rendered from actual age.
  • Central Govt Civilian Employees (with 3 years regular service): Up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST).

Step-by-Step Procedure to Apply Online

  • Step 1 – One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit the official SSC portal at https://ssc.gov.in or download the ‘mySSC’ mobile app from Google Play Store. If not already registered on the new website, click “Login or Register” and generate your OTR.
  • Step 2 – Aadhaar Authentication: Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar-based authentication during OTR for seamless verification and exemption from photo/signature rejections.
  • Step 3 – Fill Application Form: Log in using your Registration Number and Password. Navigate to the CHSL 2026 application link under ‘Latest Notifications’.
  • Step 4 – Live Photo Capture: Pre-existing uploaded photos are not accepted. The application module captures a live photograph via webcam or the mySSC mobile app. Ensure a plain background, good lighting, eye-level camera placement, and no cap/mask/glasses.
  • Step 5 – Signature Upload: Upload your clear scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB, dimensions around 6.0 cm width x 2.0 cm height).
  • Step 6 – Exam Center & Preference: Select three examination centers within the same Region in order of priority. Choose your examination and typing test language medium.
  • Step 7 – Fee Payment & Final Submission: Review the application in preview mode, submit the declaration, complete the Rs. 100/- fee payment (if applicable), and download/print the final application form for your records.
